Three ways I can help.

01Custom Software & Product Development

Build what matters.

  • Custom software
  • SaaS
  • Portals
  • Dashboards
  • MVPs

Have an idea or a business need existing tools can't solve? I take it from early definition to working software in production: customer portals, SaaS products, dashboards, MVPs.

Tools
  • Node.js
  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Tailwind CSS
02API & Systems Integrations

Make what you already have work together.

  • APIs
  • Webhooks
  • Payments
  • Authentication
  • Data sync
  • Third-party platforms

Your tools shouldn't create more work. I connect your systems with reliable APIs so data moves where it needs to, without replacing what's already doing its job.

Tools
  • Node.js
  • TypeScript
  • Docker
  • GraphQL
  • Vercel
03Product Modernization & Rescue

Improve before you rebuild.

  • Performance
  • Architecture
  • UX
  • Accessibility
  • Testing
  • Observability
  • Production readiness

Existing software doesn't always need to start over. I fix what's become slow, fragile or hard to maintain, including turning a quick AI-built MVP into something ready for real users.

Tools
  • Sentry
  • Jest
  • GitHub Actions
  • Datadog

Work I've shipped.

Real products for real clients, inside their teams or as standalone projects.

Case studies

  • Laz Go booking screen for a garage at TF Green Airport, with rates and entry and exit times
Laz Go, booking a garage at TF Green Airport.

Find, book and pay for parking.

LAZ Parking · Through MasGlobal · Aug 2026 to now

Next.js developer on Laz Go, LAZ's app for finding, booking and paying for parking, and the widget clients embed on their own sites.

    How I did it
    Problem
Drivers book and pay from their phone, often standing at the garage gate. Every flow, from sign-in to checkout, has to be fast and reliable in the US and Canada.
    Approach
I work on the product team across the Next.js app and its shared libraries: checkout, payment methods, vehicles and sign-in, plus the Playwright tests and CI checks that guard them.
    Outcome
Started in August 2026. So far: fixes in checkout and sign-in, and the main parking flows tested on every pull request.
    • Next.js
    • TypeScript
    • React
  • Home page of kiwicredito.com, Kiwi's personal loan product
    kiwicredito.com, the live product.

    Payments, identity and lending integrations.

Kiwi Financial · Lending fintech · Aug 2024 to Aug 2026

Connected identity, loan servicing and tax ID services to a lending platform for Latino consumers in the US and Puerto Rico.

    How I did it
    Problem
The platform relied on outside services for identity checks, loan servicing and tax ID validation. They had to work together without breaking compliance or security.
    Approach
Built the APIs and webhooks that connect Persona, LoanPro and TinCheck to the core platform, plus shared React hooks that wrap regional rules, retries and wallet checks.
    Outcome
Hard business rules live in one place the whole team reuses. New features ship behind flags and are monitored in production.
    • Node.js
    • TypeScript
    • React
    • PostgreSQL
  • A 3D network graph of linked articles floating on a dark background
cube.deltackett.com, every article as a node.

    A 3D map of a whole website.

Del Tackett · Upwork project · my favorite fun one

An interactive 3D network graph, built with Three.js, that shows how every piece of content on the site links to the rest.

    How I did it
    Problem
A large library of linked articles was hard to explore as a flat list of pages.
    Approach
Built a 3D graph in Three.js where each article is a node and each link a thread, with search, zoom and a guided tour.
    Outcome
Visitors can fly through the topics and see how ideas connect. The client called it phenomenal.
    • Three.js
    • JavaScript
  • Home page of strivescan.com showing a crowded college fair
strivescan.com, used at college fairs across the US.

Backend for a college-fair scanning platform.

StriveScan · Through DevWise, for Projekt202

New backend features and APIs for a platform where admissions reps scan students at each college-fair booth.

    How I did it
    Problem
Students register once and reps scan them at each booth. The platform needed new features on top of an existing Laravel codebase.
    Approach
Worked inside the DevWise team building Laravel features and REST APIs, fitting the existing architecture instead of rewriting it.
    Outcome
Shipped within a 17-month engagement that also covered a React e-commerce platform for IHS Markit.
    • Laravel
    • PHP
    • MySQL
  • Cofrem intranet home with tiles for campaigns, birthdays, gallery and internal tools
Cofrem's intranet: campaigns, birthdays, gallery and internal tools.

An intranet the staff can run themselves.

Cofrem · Family welfare fund · Colombia

An administrable intranet built in Laravel: pixel-perfect and fully responsive.

    How I did it
    Problem
Employees needed one place for news, campaigns and internal tools, and staff needed to update it without a developer.
    Approach
Built a Laravel CMS on MySQL with a Bootstrap and jQuery front end matched to the design, pixel for pixel.
    Outcome
Content is managed from an admin panel, so updates don't wait on a developer.
    • Laravel
    • MySQL
    • Bootstrap
    • jQuery

What clients say.

“Luisa created a phenomenal 3-D network graph to display the linked content on our website. […] Luisa would be the first person I would hire for my next software project.”
Del T. · Doctorate in computer science · Upwork
“The experience of working with Luisa was great. She is not only great technically but also a very committed person.”
DevWise · Client review

Fun projects.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to know exactly what I need?

No. Start with the problem. I'll help determine whether it makes more sense to improve, integrate, automate or build.

I have an idea or MVP. Can you help me build it?

Yes. I can help define the scope and technical approach, then take it through development and production.

Do you only build custom software?

No. If an existing tool, integration or smaller change solves the problem better, that's what I'll recommend.

Can you work with our existing software?

Yes. Integrating, extending and modernizing existing systems is a core part of my work.

Can you work with AI-built software?

Yes. I can review, stabilize and prepare rapidly built products for real production use.

Can you integrate AI into our product?

Yes, when there's a useful case for it. AI should improve the product, not simply be added to it.

What happens after the free call?

If there's a good fit, I'll recommend the next step. That may be a proposal or a short discovery phase for more complex projects.

Do you work internationally?

Yes. I work remotely in English and Spanish.

More technology isn't better technology.
